Life Underwater Music is the record label and home for James O’Brien’s music.
James O’Brien toured the US and the UK from approximately 1998 to about the end of 2004, singing his songs — and others’ — as a solo artist and with his band. During that period, based in Boston, James recorded three studio albums — 'Spirit Days' (1998); 'Life Underwater' (2000); and 'Church of the Kitchen Sink' (2003).
In 2017 and 2018, Life Underwater Music released a seven-album collection of James’ live and demo recordings — ‘A Bothersome Injuries Forty’. The archives covered the years 1999–2007 and are available at bothersomeinjuries.com.
In September 2018, James O’Brien will release a new album of newly written and recorded material. ‘Careful in the Future’ is his first new record in fifteen years.
